A Recap of Find Your Grind's first "Office Hours" dedicated to Music Artists

On the final week of the Fall 2019 FYG U fest at the Shrine Auditorium, aspiring and emerging music artists gathered at the Noise Nest studio in Hollywood for Find Your Grind’s first community program called “Office Hours.” Office Hours is a series of curated events to help propel the creative and entrepreneur, inspired by the 1-on-1 time a college professor dictates for mentorship and questions.

The first Office Hours event was dedicated to music artists trying to determine their next steps. Throughout the night they gained guidance on what it takes for an artist today, the business side of music, and the roles of industry professionals such as managers, A&Rs, booking agents, lawyers, etc. who support them. The night featured a captivating panel featuring Carter Gregory, Bradley Haering, Matt Morris, Shirin Nury, and Lulu Pantin. From the outcome of earlier music submissions, an exclusive group of music artists were specifically chosen to participate in a one-hour speed networking opportunity wth 21 industry experts across labels and companies such as Big Noise, Warner Bros., Capitol Records, BMI, Disney Music, and more.

With a full house of music artists and mentors, artists networked with one another, listened to each other’s music in the new studios, took notes, and asked questions to our music mentors.
