Famous Failures 1 hour

  • Level 1

 Understanding what failure means and that it is not a matter of if you will fail, it is a matter of when.  In order to continue to provide context of failure, have students do the following activity on “Famous Failures.”

In the same groups as the previous Free Standing Failure activity, have students agree on a famous person they choose to research and create a presentation that includes the following information:

  • Background Information
    • Name (real name and stage name if different)
    • Childhood (location and family structure)
  • Rise to fame
    • Provide an in-depth chronicle of their career
  • The Fall
    • Give all information related to their failure
  • The Rebound
    • How did they overcome this failure
    • What changes have they made since this failure
    • Where are they now
  • Their contributions
    • What has this person added in value to our society/culture
