Out for the Greater Good: Thrive Market Connects on a Human Level
CEO Gunnar Lovelace Draws Upon His Childhood as the Inspiration to Make Healthy Food Affordable
Growing up in Los Angeles as a Latino immigrant and with a single mom, Lovelace struggled to understand why food with lots of chemicals and processing was cheaper than food without those extra steps. His modest upbringing was the inspiration behind his company, Thrive Market, which makes healthy food affordable and available to everyone. Success did not come easy. After getting turned down countless times in the VC world, Lovelace got creative and brought in hundreds of “mega” social media bloggers and influencers to launch his company. Always inventive, positive and passionate, Lovelace’s spirit is evident in everything he does.
