The founders of Find Your Grind share their First 10% journeys and continue the conversation on self-discovery
The Find Your Grind podcast is a weekly series hosted by our founders, Nick Gross, Natasha Gross, Mike Smith, and Luke “The Dingo.” Each week, we speak with special guests on the first 10% of their personal journey, decisions that led them where they are today, and how they built their ideas from finding their grind. In our premiere episode, we sat down with our founders and delved into each of their personal first 10% journeys and offer key advice.
Nick Gross didn’t allow his father’s success to overshadow his capabilities, and worked equally as hard to discover his passion in music and be able to stand on his own. Discovering his gift in drumming, Nick practiced and worked towards his manifestations without taking opportunities for granted. Natasha Gross followed a conservative school route and believed in the system and the results that were promised to her. Approached with an identity crisis after graduation, she found that certain skill sets not taught in school, like seeking for mentors or building experience outside the classroom, was what she needed. Luke "The Dingo" saw early in his childhood the meaning of hardship and found hope in snowboarding. This naturally became his outlet that led him to expansive opportunities like seeing the world. Mike Smith grew up in a small Midwest town and grew up trying to figure out how to make something out of himself in a community that lacked creativity and opportunity. From that purpose, he found himself helping youth trying to figure out their journeys ever since.
Organically, each of the founder’s unique backgrounds would be an essential piece of why Find Your Grind was created. Our founders individually experienced that turning your passion into a lifestyle is not only possible, but important. What is your WHY? The first 10% revolves around discovering your purpose. Understanding your manifestations and the commitment needed will lead you to take the action towards going after your dreams.
