Hotel event managers plan, organize, and oversee all events at their respective venue. Event managers work closely with their clients to ensure their needs are met, and also maintain solid relationships with vendors like florists and catering companies. Event managers are leaders that oversee and manage teams of various sizes to ensure events are well organized and go as planned. Event managers should be skilled communicators and multitaskers, as well as having strong organizational skills. Event managers responsibilities include, booking entertainment or catering, scheduling staff, contacting potential clients, and assist in event promotion. Your career may begin with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, as well as working as working under other event managers.
