LAPD Police Officer Edwin Marron has always had his heart geared towards protecting and serving his community. In high school, Edwin began working out and training to be physically fit so he could one day protect his community to the best of his abilities. After high school, Edwin joined the Los Angeles Police Academy where he proved his fitness, patience, and ability to defuse tense situations. Being a police officer is more than just a badge and a gun — Edwin wakes up every morning seeking to help the communities he serves understand that the LAPD is here to make a real difference.
My Advice
If you want to have a job upholding the law, make sure your resumé and criminal record reflects that.
Seek out people in the profession and ask questions. Job shadow if possible. See if the job is really something you are passionate about.
