Karena Dawn is a spirited woman whose passion for a healthy lifestyle, fitness, competitive sports, and well-being has placed her at the forefront of the health and fitness industries. Growing up in Indianapolis, Indiana, Karena’s competitive edge blossomed at a young age. She made her first fitness video for a school project at age 7 and ran her first half marathon at age 12.

After finishing high school, Karena moved to Los Angeles and has made her home in beautiful Manhattan Beach, California. Shortly thereafter, Karena began competing in triathlons and working as a certified personal trainer. She also found tremendous success in fitness modeling, working with top sport and fitness brands and has been featured in editorial magazines such as Shape, Triathlete, Women’s Health, Fitness, In Style, Vogue, Oxygen, Muscle & Fitness, Self, Fitness, Women’s Health, Runner’s World, Competitor and more.
Karena says, “Health and Fitness saved my life. I want to share this discovery and my determination to always learn from the past, live without regret, and to continue to grow through living a healthy, positive lifestyle.” Whether Karena is training for a triathlon, surfing, practicing yoga, reading, or cooking dinner with friends, she strives to make each day her best. Karena feels blessed to have a successful career in a field that she truly loves and takes pride in being able to share her knowledge, motivation, and passion for life with others to help them achieve their fitness goals.

My Advice

What made us originally successful was our persistent as well as consistent work ethics. We developed a schedule for our vlogs: Motivation Monday was devoted to another woman’s success story, Tone It Up Tuesday would feature a new workout, Wednesday was Wild Wednesday where anything goes, Thirsty Thursday was reserved for healthy cocktails, and We Love Food Friday was dedicated to a new cooking video. Whenever anyone asks us how we got started, we say consistency: You just have to keep going – if no one watches in the beginning, it’ll pick up.
