Jessi Combs: Leaving a Legacy Through Lifestyle

Jessi Combs inspires students through her incredible achievements and dedication to work and lifestyle.

“The welding machine doesn’t know I’m a girl. My throttle pedal and the racecar doesn’t know that I’m a female; it can’t tell the difference. It’s all in how you perform and how you act. So you put your all into it, then you know that you’re going to be fine.”

Jessi Combs

Jessi Combs let her love of cars guide her lifestyle. She found a way to combine her desire to race cars, go fast, build and fix things, and inspire female trailblazers. In August 2019, Jessi accomplished her lifelong goal of setting an overall women’s land speed record reaching over 550 miles per hour! Sadly, she suffered an accident during her final run and passed away.

Find Your Grind was lucky to interview Jessi prior to her passing and has published her content to preserve her legacy and inspire students to follow in Jessi’s footsteps by living their ideal lifestyle. She provides amazing information about her multiple careers, advice she wished she had followed, and what it’s like being a woman in a male-dominated industry.

In this post you’ll find a sample of Jessi Combs’ content available to Find Your Grind students. To see more of Jessi or our other amazing mentors, contact us.

Jessi Combs started her career as a metal fabricator building hot rods, motorcycles and offroad trucks. She especially loved rolling up her sleeves to build and fix things. Then in her 20’s, Jessi added TV host and personality to her resume of work. She hosted a show called Xtreme 4×4 for four years and even appeared in 12 episodes of Mythbusters along with loads of other TV work.

Jessi was also a driver. She competed in desert racing like the Baja 1000 and had numerous attempts at four-wheel land speed records. In 2013, Jessi set the new women’s land speed record at 398.95 miles per hour and in 2019, set a new record of 522.78 miles per hour.
