Monique Coleman is an American actress, dancer, singer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist best known for her role as Taylor McKessie in Disney’s High School Musical movies. She also had a recurring role on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, as a school girl named Mary-Margaret. Monique also competed in the third edition of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, finishing in fourth place.
While many actors have complicated relationships with social media and public visibility, Monique Coleman sees Twitter and Instagram as tools for expression and to effect change. Today, Coleman works as a Global Youth Advocate, encouraging young people and helping them see their place in shaping the world’s future. Most recently, Coleman was named the first-ever UN Youth Champion for the International Year of Youth.
