Why did you choose to become a Find Your Grind Advisor?
Turning what you love to do into your career can be one of the most rewarding choices in your life. However, understanding how to manifest this, can also be one of the most challenging. What I love about Find Your Grind’s personalized programming and mentor platforms is that it’s truly helping students navigate these challenges, and explore career opportunities they may have never thought to be possible. Supplementing traditional education with this type of technology and self-discovery is positively changing the way for our collective future.
About Becka
Growing up in a small town in Colorado, Becka Vigorito knew at a young age she wanted to be involved in entertainment one way or the other and make it to the ‘big screen’. Realizing her talents didn’t manifest well in front of the camera, she quickly became obsessed with TV commercials and their behind-the-scenes magic. After graduating with a BA in Advertising from the University of Texas in Austin, she immediately moved to NYC to kick start her career.
Becka’s spent the last 15+ years in the advertising industry and is now a Managing Director at VMLY&R, a top-tier global brand and customer experience agency. Throughout her career, she has helped develop brands and experiences from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, including Google, New Balance, NBA, Bud Light, Heineken, LEGOLAND and Miami Tourism. She’s also helped develop incredibly successful celebrity & brand partnerships with Justin Timblerlake, Lebron James and Lady Gaga. Her teams have driven two of Anheuser-Busch’s most successful product launches in the history of the company and have also garnered some of the industry’s highest accolades across Cannes Lions, Effies, D&AD to name a few.
In addition to her client commitments, Becka has expanded her role at VMLY&R, and is now responsible for leading community and cultural initiatives, as well as professional growth and development across North America. She is focused on strengthening talent through this programming and mentorship as she understands first hand the impact this can make on one’s career path. Becka’s had amazing mentors that have both inspired her and guided her, so she takes great pride in inspiring those around her, from recent college graduates to senior executives.
After recently moving to Jupiter, Florida with her husband and son, Becka has continued her mission to help others realize that their passions can truly fuel their definition of success, by becoming a Founding Member for Chief in Miami. Chief is a national private network designed for the most powerful women in executive leadership. Through this network, women collaborate to strengthen their leadership, magnify their influence and pave the way to bring others with them.
